Rare Books Librarian
Salary: £39,289 rising to £42,246 per year after probation
The Library’s vision is to collect, preserve and make accessible the memory of the Church of England, so that its cultural and religious history can be explored and enjoyed by all.
This is an opportunity to support the vision and mission of the Library by describing, developing, interpreting and promoting the Library’s collections for the benefit of readers and the wider public and to ensure that cataloguing of collections adheres to the best national and international standards.
As Rare Books Librarian, you will have particular responsibility for the early printed books in the Lambeth Palace Library Collection and the Sion College Library Collection.
Normal hours of work are 35 per week worked Monday to Friday. The Reading Room remains open late on Thursday evenings, which will require you to work periodically on a rota basis until 8pm, for which your hours will be adjusted accordingly. Further details will be discussed at interview.
