Access to CERC holdings |
|
| CERC is based
in Bermondsey, but public access to CERC holdings is via the
reading
room at Lambeth Palace Library. Readers will
need to obtain a ticket and abide by the
rules of Lambeth Palace Library.
However, the records will continue to be stored at Bermondsey along with the finding aids. Enquiries concerning the holdings of the Church of England Record Centre and requesting documents should continue to be addressed to our Bermondsey offices (15 Galleywall Road, Bermondsey, London SE16 3PB. UK telephone: +44 (0)20 7898 1030 UK fax:+44 (0)20 7898 1043 Email archivist@c-of-e.org.uk). Members of the public who wish to consult records held at the Church of England Record Centre (CERC) need to contact the Record Centre and give 5 days notice of their visit to Lambeth Palace Library to view the records. The records will be delivered to Lambeth Palace Library and will be retained there for 20 working days where they can be viewed during library opening hours of 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. No appointment will be needed once the documents have been requested from the Record Centre at Bermondsey. In exceptional circumstances where individual documents are too large or too fragile to be transported to Lambeth Palace Library for viewing, members of the public can see such material at the Record Centre at Bermondsey by prior appointment. These special access arrangements are at the discretion of the Archivist and Records Manager at Bermondsey. |
